Licensing/Continuing Education

1.  Continuing Education units for Mortgage Banker & Broker Responsible  Individuals
                                                                  - 12 hours

This course fulfils the requirements for Responsible Individuals to be eligible for either Mortgage Broker
  or Mortgage Banker license renewal. Session topics include the following:
          





2.  Mortgage Loan Originator Licensing - 23 hours

   This course fulfils the requirements for all Mortgage Loan Originators employed by Mortgage Brokers
   and Mortgage Bankers to complete the 20 units of continuing education necessary to obtain a
   Mortgage Loan Originator License. NMLS Course Completion Registration Fee of $35.00 must be paid
   in addion to the course registration fee. In addition, we provide, at no cost, three hours of exam
   preparation and a practice exam.

         









 

A Financial Calculator will be required. If you do not have one, they will be available for purchase.

3.  Mortgage Broker Licensing - 24 hours

   This course fulfils the Arizona educational requirements for obtaining a Mortgage Broker License, in
   addition to helping you prepare for the required Mortgage Broker Licensing Exam. It includes a session
   on how to prepare for an examination of your business and records from the
   Arizona Department of Financial Institutions.

   You will be taught the statutes and rules that you must know to obtain a Mortgage Broker License in
   Arizona and to legally operate a Mortgage Company. Learn about state required disclosures, how to
   maintain trust accounts, record retention requirements and what steps you must take prior to hiring
   any employees.

   Prerequisite: As per state regulations, you must have at least 36 months experience as a loan
   originator or similar position. You should be competent with vocabulary and mathematics of the
   mortgage industry. An exam will be given at the end of the course.
Non-Traditional Loan Programs

4.  Construction lending - 4 hours

Learn how to document your loan file for a construction lender. Find out how you can increase your income with construction loans. You will learn the steps to evaluate a construction loan and how to qualify the borrower.

This course qualifies for 4 continuing education units of Non-Traditional Lending.

5.  Commercial Lending - 4 hours

Learn how to qualify a commercial loan. You will learn how to calculate NOI, Debt Service Ratios, and methods used for valuation of commercial property. You will also learn where to find commercial investors, how to create employment agreements to protect your commission, and what types of loans are most and least profitable.

This course qualifies for 4 continuing education units of Non-Traditional Lending.

6.  Private Money Lending - 3 hours

Diversify your product offering by including private money loans in your portfolio. In this class you will learn how to quickly pre-qualify a borrower and property; residential or commercial. Additionally, you will learn how to make loans while the property is currently listed for sale and how to make loans to real estate investors.

This course qualifies for 3 continuing education units of Non-Traditional Lending.

7. Creative Financing - 3 hours

Learn how to facilitate the sale of properties in a tight money market. This course will teach you how to negotiate; write and sell alternate financing agreements. Additionally, you will learn how to price, how to buy, and how to market seller financed notes for a profit.

This course qualifies for 3 continuing education units of Non-Traditional Lending.
This course qualifies for credit toward your Mortgage Broker License.

8. Capitalizing on Seller Financing - 3 hours

In tight money markets sellers may have to finance buyers with “carryback” Notes and Trust Deeds. Learn
how you can evaluate notes, assess risk, purchase and resell notes at a profit.

9.  Truth In Lending Act - Reg Z - 4 hours

This course is a must for all companies making mortgage loans to consumers. Get prepared for changes you must make in your business. Learn how to properly use the new Truth in Lending disclosure. 10. RESPA - Reg X - 4 hours

Are you prepared to use the New Good Faith Estimate that is required effective January 1, 2010? Get up to date on the latest issues with RESPA and Regulation X by learning the Safe Harbor rules to protect your business. Receive complete instruction on what fees you can legally charge and what fees you cannot under the federal law effective January 1, 2010. Case studies will be used to give you the “hands on” application of the law.
